PANDEMIC MEMES are funny sometimes. We could all use a laugh. Step away from technology when you feel overwhelmed, becoming burnt out, or cynical. Take a nature walk, practice a new hobby, learn a new skill, or just breathe and meditate on your breath. Call someone on the phone, or watch videos of Puppies or Travel when on technology to gain a sense of normalcy and connectivity to the world around you.
Many of us are feeling alone and isolated. Others are having trouble with feeling overwhelmed with the life changes that have occurred in response to the pandemic. Children and adults alike need connectivity to others in meaningful ways. We are inherently social creatures that need human connectivity. Schedule to have socialization with others, in a responsible and safe way. Here are some ideas: 1.) become a pen pal. 2.) send messages over a walkie talkie, or over the telephone 3.) have a scavenger hunt outside and report back your findings with your rival team 4.) make a list of current events that interest you and talk about them over dinner with your socially distanced partner 5.) watch a How To Video, and challenge your friend to make/do the activity shown on the video, and display your work via pictures through email or phone texts 6) make up your own game/activity and do it with others in a safe way. Enjoy the creative flow that comes from connection with others!
